Covid-19 Regulations No 4

The Malaysian government has extended the Covid-19 Shutdown which commenced from 18 March to 12 May 2020. The first closedown was for the period from 18 March to 1 April. That was later extended to 14 April under Regulations No. 2. A third extension extended the closedown to 28 April and now under Regulations No. 4, there is a further extension to 12 May 2020.

The Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) (No.4) Regulations 2020 have effect from 29 April to 12 May 2020.

Regulations No. 4 repeat the provisions in Regulations No. 2 and 3 with one important change – a person travelling to purchase food, medicine, dietary supplement, daily necessities or any other goods from any provider of essential service may be accompanied by one family member staying in the same house.
