One of the 11 Shifts or drives of the Education Blueprint 2013-2025 is promoting greater engagement of parents in their children’s schooling. The two-day programme complements and supports Blueprint initiatives by linking aspects of Malaysia’s pluralist society with theories on education. At the end of the programme, teachers will have a more refined profile of the general classroom population and a better understanding of the challenges produced by the diversity of that population. The programme is built on current local and overseas scholarly studies on the subject.
